Front-End Developer / Designer

DESCRIPTION

eye for design, an innate ability to simplify complex tasks for end users and the technical expertise to build the

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the workflow and user-facing UI journey, and build proof-of- concept prototypes to define solutions
  • Partner with product managers to develop product requirements with supporting user interface visualizations,
    and iterate on proposed designs with stakeholders
  • Be responsible for building interactive web based front-ends and UI components
  • Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns
  • Evaluate new and existing UX elements in the product by incorporating user feedback, leading code review
    sessions and best practices in order to continuously evolve and improve the product
  • Define key UX metrics, track and analyze product performance, and assess customer and industry feedback
  • Write well crafted, tested, readable and maintainable code
  • You are accountable in daily stand-up meetings to review current progress and obstacles; a driving force in
    holding yourself and your peers accountable for delivery and quality excellence

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • You are a graduate of 4-year college or university with a graphic design or computer science degree or
    equivalent experience
  • Over 5 years’ experience with design and front-end development
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and experience working cross functionally
  • You take pride in your work with a sharp attention to detail
  • The thought of a fast-paced, start-up environment really gets your heart pumping
  • You understand what it means to be a ‘team player’
  • You excel in creating engaging, cutting-edge user experiences using the latest website design trends and
    techniques

SKILLS

  • Expert level proficiency with Sketch or Adobe CS applications
  • Extensive knowledge of HTML5, CSS and JavaScript methods for providing performant visual effects
  • Extensive knowledge of AngularJS best practices and commonly used modules
  • Experience in Bootstrap framework
  • Exposure to responsive web design and development
  • Ability to create self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.
  • Able to create clean and concise code
